A meeting on preparations for the Regional Climate Summit (Summit) to be held in 2026 was held at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, as well as the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (IFAS) participated in the discussion.
During the meeting, it was decided to hold the Summit in conjunction with the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the IFAS Member States. These two events will increase the importance of the event and will be a logical conclusion to Kazakhstan's chairmanship of the Fund.
Preparations for the summit continue in close cooperation with stakeholders. On March 13 of this year, it is planned to hold the first regional consultations with the participation of representatives of the Central Asian countries to discuss the main issues on the agenda.
