A special campaign was held in Astana to remove inscriptions and graffiti left by vandals on the Atyrau pedestrian bridge, the official website of the capital's akimat reported.

The campaign, initiated by the Nura district akimat, with the support of the district police department and volunteers from "Astana Zhastary", was aimed at maintaining order in public places.

“This bridge is one of the city's landmarks. That is why we regularly hold events to clean the bridge of prohibited advertisements. In order to identify and prevent acts of vandalism throughout the district, we systematically organize campaigns and monitoring in crowded places,” says Ruslan Sabitov, chief specialist of the internal policy and social sphere department of the Nura district akimat.

Volunteers from the capital regularly participate in such events.

“There are many attractions in the capital that tourists are interested in. But acts of vandalism are also common in such places. Today, we removed advertisements and pictures from the bridge using special cleaning agents. I think such actions help maintain public order,” noted Milat Alimbekova, a volunteer at the Astana Youth Center.
