Astana, March 3, 2025 - From May 29-30, 2025, the Astana International Forum (AIF) will be held under the chairmanship of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, aimed at promoting interstate dialogue on issues of international diplomacy and cooperation. The forum will bring together heads of state and government, companies and academic groups to find practical solutions to pressing issues in the context of global turmoil and polarization.
Due to its strategic location and growing international activity, Kazakhstan plays an active role in promoting interstate cooperation in the context of geopolitical tensions. As a historical link between East and West, the country has long supported an inclusive international system and remains committed to achieving this goal.
The Astana International Forum is a vivid demonstration of this commitment. Building on the success of the 2023 Forum, which attracted over 5,000 international guests, this year’s participants will discuss critical issues shaping the future of the international system, as well as emerging trends affecting key sectors.
The event program, divided into three main themes: Foreign Policy and International Security, Energy and Climate Change, and Economy and Finance, will feature high-level sessions with heads of state and industry leaders, as well as wide-ranging panel discussions with renowned experts and policymakers.
Reflecting the Forum’s commitment to building new partnerships and fostering cooperation, each session will focus on shaping new perspectives on the diplomatic, economic, and social issues that will define the coming decade. Under the theme “Connecting Ideas, Shaping the Future,” this year’s Forum sets the agenda for a new era of multilateralism and diplomacy.
