An event titled "Zhelkanat – Companion of the Steppe" was held at the East Kazakhstan Regional Library for Children and Youth, dedicated to one of the most ancient treasures of the Kazakh people — the Tazy and the Tübegi. The guests invited to the library — Manai Mamyrkhan, Mamyrkhan Abudurashid, Kalymbek Nurasyl, Kairat Dyusimbinov, and Arkhat Khaytzhanov — are breeders of traditional Kazakh dog breeds and hunting birds. They are professionally engaged in breeding Tazy dogs and golden eagles, training them both for competitions and for real hunting. At the event, they presented their animals to the audience and spoke about the specifics of caring for them. The event was accompanied by a thematic book exhibition featuring literature on various dog breeds and Kazakh hunting traditions.
