During the reporting period, 4,150 tons of grain seeds were examined: Wheat — 3,590 tons, Barley — 460 tons, Oats — 100 tons.
Theanalysisrevealedthe following diseases:helminthosporiosis,fusarium,penicillium.
If the seeds are infected,theymust be treated—this is calledpickling. It is alsoworthchoosingvarieties that are resistanttodiseasesandmonitoringthestorageconditions of seeds.
Why is this important? Because healthy seeds are the key to a good harvest.
