An open day was organized in the women's penal colony in the Abai region for 11th grade students of the Shuak village secondary school. About twenty schoolchildren took part in the preventive event, as well as representatives of the prosecutor's office of the Zharminsky district, the Department of education and the Shuak village secondary school.
The main purpose of the meeting was the prevention of offenses among young people within the framework of the topic "Law and Order", as well as the formation of a responsible attitude among teenagers towards their lives and the future.
During the event, schoolchildren had the opportunity to see the conditions of detention of convicts, visit the living quarters and production areas of the institution. Special attention was paid to live communication with the convicted women, who openly told the teenagers about their fates and mistakes that led to imprisonment.
The convicts emphasized that the path of crimes begins with making the wrong choice of environment, striving for "easy money" and giving in to bad habits. They reminded that a true friend will never offer to try alcohol, drugs or tobacco, and the use of force and aggression will not bring respect, but will only destroy life and cause pain to loved ones.
As part of the event, students were shown a video clip with the story of a 37-year-old convict serving a 10-year sentence for drug trafficking. The woman spoke frankly about how the wrong choice of company and lifestyle led her to tragic consequences.
— I got involved with the wrong company and didn't notice how I gradually ruined my life. Today I understand exactly what it takes to learn, develop, set goals and strive for the best. This is the only way to build your future and not be influenced by a bad environment," the convict said.
— Such events play an important role in crime prevention. We strive to show young people with real examples what the violation of the law leads to and help them realize the value of freedom, education and responsibility for their actions," said Indira Smakova, head of the department of educational and socio-psychological work among convicts.
— Today's meeting made a very strong impression on me. When we heard the real stories of convicted women, I realized that any mistake made in my youth can completely change a person's fate. Previously, many things seemed far away and unreal, but today I realized that all this can happen to anyone who makes the wrong choice. Such meetings help us to really think about the future, to appreciate freedom, parents and the opportunities that we have, and not to follow a bad company. I am sure that I will remember this day for a long time," the 11th grade student shared her impressions.
Such open days contribute to the formation of legal awareness among teenagers, help them think about the consequences of their actions and choose the right path in life.уть.
