A working meeting of operatives and investigators with deputy of the regional maslikhat Yevgeny Kinzel was held at the police department of North Kazakhstan region. The focus was on the issue of explaining to the victims the article “The obligation to return unjustified enrichment".
It allows you to claim damage caused by Internet scammers from a dropper - a person through whose bank card the criminals began withdrawing funds obtained through deception.
In all cases of Internet fraud, investigators explain the provisions of this article to the victims.
The active application of this practice should deter people from the temptation to provide their bank card to outsiders for dubious financial transactions for a fee.
The deputy listened to practical suggestions from the police on improving legislation and some banking procedures that could put barriers in front of online scammers.
Among them: to simplify the blocking of the movement of funds in the account of the victim of fraud, to issue a loan not instantly, but after an hour or more, so that the person caught in the network of deception had time to calm down and make the right decision to cancel the operation and contact the police.
Yevgeny Kinzel promised to submit these and other proposals of the police officers to the parliamentary public for discussion.
