On December 18, within the framework of the large-scale environmental campaign "Taza Kazakhstan" in Astana, famous athletes expressed support and gratitude to the employees of public utilities, the official website of the Akimat of the capital reports.
In the early morning, famous athletes of Astana gathered to support public utilities workers who, in difficult winter conditions, daily clear the city of snow and ice. The organizers of the action offered the employees hot tea and baursaks, thanking them for their hard work and concern for the cleanliness of the city.
The event was attended by such famous athletes from the capital as Maksat Sailau, Merey Maulitkanov, Aybek Aitbekov, Nurlan Karabalin, Madi Amangeldy, Nurzhan Batyrbekov, Nurbek Talbudin, Nursultan Duisenkulov, Zere Sarbalina, Aiza Mambekova, Nariman Seken.
"Today, I personally felt how difficult it is for utility workers — what it feels like to wake up early, clean snow, and clean up the city. It's a very difficult job, especially when it's freezing outside. I respect the people who keep the city clean. Once again, I realized how important the work of public service employees is. First of all, we are holding an action to be an example for the younger generation. Young people always focus on their elders, media personalities, and famous athletes. If, as a young man, I had seen the world champion clearing snow in the morning and treating employees to tea, it would have motivated me to do good deeds. It is important to remember that the cleanliness of our capital and the whole country depends on us, we must help each other," said Astana's senior MMA coach Nurlan Karabalin.
In addition to the treats, the athletes helped the workers in snow removal, showing an example of active support and concern for the cleanliness of the city.
