There are plans to build and modernize 32 healthcare facilities in Almaty. Mayor of the city Yerbolat Dosayev told about this at an on-site briefing in the CCS.
This year, funding for the healthcare sector has been increased by 25%. Special attention was paid to the modernization of the healthcare infrastructure.
This year, the Maslikhat of Almaty approved a single standard of primary health care, according to which 4 primary health care centers and 1 polyclinic have been built, and plans are being developed for the construction and modernization of 32 facilities - 15 hospitals, 2 maternity hospitals, 7 polyclinics, and 6 medical treatment centers.
The city's Children's Emergency Medical Care Center will also be opened in 2024. The establishment of an Early Intervention Center has made an important contribution to reducing disability among children.
The Mayor of the city noted that the modernization and development of the healthcare infrastructure is an important step towards ensuring accessibility and improving the quality of medical services for residents of the city. Work in this area is a priority and will be continued next year.
