Special attention will be paid to the support and development of youth in Almaty. This was announced by the mayor of the city, Yerbolat Dosayev, at an on-site briefing at the CCS in Almaty.
In 2024, 11 community centers and 4 drug treatment centers were opened in the city, and 33 leisure centers were modernized. Since the beginning of the year, over 8,000 (8,273) beds have been created in student dormitories in the metropolis, and 3,321 apartments have been provided under the Almaty Zhastary program. In order to promote a healthy lifestyle, 3 sports and recreation complexes have been opened in Almaty, 50 outdoor sports infrastructure facilities have been built.
Thanks to these measures, the proportion of young people in the NEET category has been reduced from 8.3% to 6.4%.
