This year marks the 110th anniversary of the birth of Sattar Yerubayev, who in his short life managed to become an outstanding poet, talented writer, publicist and expert in journalism. In this regard, since the beginning of the year, many cultural and educational events have been held in the Turkestan region, the heritage of Sattar is glorified.
This process continued in the village of Kargaly in the Otyrar district, where a scientific and practical conference and a poetry conference were held at a small comprehensive school named after Sattar Yerubayev. The event was organized by the public association "Otyrar literature and Art", the district department of education, the school staff, relatives of the writer and residents of the village.
The event, which widely covered the life, work and creativity of Sattar Yerubayev, was attended by the poet's cousin Ulzhalgas Yesim, author of the textbook "Sattartanu" Dana Zhuandykova, chairman of the Igilik Ata Public Foundation Nassen Kozhabai, head of the methodological office of the district department of Education Darkhan Embai, head of the district department of Culture, language Development and sports Sagintai Kuttybai, akim of Kargaly rural district Yerkegali Zhumabek. The visitors of the event laid flowers at the monument of Sattar Yerubayev, located in the courtyard of the school. Then, after visiting the exhibition of the literary and cultural museum named after Sattar Yerubayev, located in the city of Turkestan, the event continued in two directions.
About thirty poets from the cities of Shymkent, Turkestan and Otyrar district took part in the qualifying stage of the competitions on the theme "Tulgandy Tany, Tarikhyndy kurmette", more than a dozen of whom received permits to the final competitions. The participants of the final stage on the stage read poems dedicated to Sattar Yerubayev and on free subjects. As a result, the first place went to Nurgali Serdaliev (Otyrar), and the main prize was awarded to Otyrar Bauyrzhan Meyrhanuly. The winners were awarded special diplomas and cash prizes. It is worth noting that the poems of the poets who took part in the competition were published in a special brochure with the support of the regional universal scientific library "Farab". There are no age restrictions for participants.
Also at the scientific and practical conference on the topic "Zhark etken saule gumyr" scientific works of students of several schools of the district were presented. The aim is to popularize the work of Sattar Yerubayev, promote his contribution to Kazakh spirituality and determine the significance of his works today. According to the results of the scientific conference, the second place was taken by Sartai Tolkyn, a student of S. Yerubayev's school and Kaldan Nurasyl, a student of Zhambyl Zhabayev's school. The first place was taken by a student of the Otyrar general secondary school, Ashirbai Rayana. Students were awarded special diplomas and electronic tools.
