The next hero of our "Faces of Science" column is Amangeldy Nurzada.
Amangeldy Nurzada is a researcher at the Department of Artificial Intelligence Technology at ENU.
In 2002, after graduating from the Maikaragai Secondary School in Pavlodar region, Amangeldy Nurzada entered the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, where she received a degree in Computer Science. After graduating from university, she decided to pursue science and enrolled in a master's degree. Since then, Nurzada has been actively working in the field of science. Having successfully completed all levels of education at the university, she received a bachelor's degree in 2007 and a master's degree in Computer Science in 2009. From 2018 to 2021, she completed her doctoral studies in Computer Science, and received her PhD in 2024.
His career began with teaching at the Department of Space Engineering and Technology. Currently, Nurzada works as a researcher at the Department of Artificial Intelligence Technology and is engaged in research work as a postdoctoral fellow at the L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University. She has participated in many successful research projects and has won a number of grant programs. These include grants such as JANA ASU 2022, JANA ASU 2023 and Zhas Galim, as well as a grant from the Consortium for Inclusive Innovation program.
Nurzada Amangeldy is the head of the projects "Development of a virtual translator of web resources in Kazakh sign language for deaf users" and "Development of new models and methods of automatic sign language translation of Kazakh sign language". By successfully implementing these projects, she has made a significant contribution to the field of inclusive innovation.
