Transport medicine has been developing since 2011 within the framework of the State program "Salamatty Kazakhstan". An important stage was the creation of highway medical and rescue centers (MSPs), which have been providing emergency care on emergency-prone road sections since 2012. Today, there are 40 such points in the republic.
This year, MSME medical and rescue teams made 1,758 visits, providing assistance to 2,526 victims and hospitalizing 1,400 people. In addition, 60 people were rescued on the highways in difficult weather conditions.
To improve the efficiency of medical and rescue centers, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan continues to update the infrastructure. In 2024, large-scale repairs were carried out at six locations, where the internal and external parts of buildings were updated, outdated systems and equipment were replaced. All these measures create comfortable and safe conditions for both medical workers and victims who receive assistance.
The work of the Disaster Medicine Center and its specialists is not just about saving lives. This is a daily overcoming of difficulties, a struggle with time and circumstances, where every departure is a chance to give people a second life.
