The 25th meeting of the Council of Heads of Accreditation Bodies of the EAEU Member States was held

The 25th meeting of the Council of Heads of Accreditation Bodies of the Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union was held this year under the chairmanship of the Accreditation Body of the Republic of Armenia via videoconference. The National Accreditation Center was represented by Director General Iskander Khamitov.
The participants considered four issues, including the implementation of the Procedure for mutual comparative assessments by the accreditation bodies of the EAEU member States; the implementation of the Work Plan of the Council of Heads in 2024 and proposals for the formation of a Work Plan for 2025; the chairmanship of the Council in 2025 and others.
During the discussion of the agenda, in particular, information from the Kyrgyz Accreditation Center on the implementation of recommendations formed based on the results of a mutual comparative assessment of the CCA by the accreditation authorities of the EAEU member States in 2024 was taken into account.
Currently, the participants have started forming a group for mutual comparative assessment of the accreditation body of the Republic of Armenia. Zhanara Sagimbayeva, head of the NCA Laboratory Accreditation Department, was proposed as the head of the group.
During the meeting, the Accreditation Body of the Republic of Belarus presented draft forms of documents necessary for mutual comparative assessments, improved taking into account the comments of experts from the accreditation bodies of the EAEU member states, announced at a working meeting on December 17 this year.
The NCA spoke positively about the work of the Belarusian State Accreditation Center to finalize the forms of documents required for mutual comparative assessments, and took the initiative to develop a procedural document on the selection and appointment of groups for mutual comparative assessment of EAEU accreditation bodies.
Following the meeting, the chairmanship of the Council of Heads of Accreditation Bodies of the EAEU Member States for 2025 was officially transferred to the Republic of Belarus.
