In the four months since the introduction of the drug labeling system in Kazakhstan, labeling codes have been applied to 66.2 million packages of drugs.
Of these, 39.3 million packages are imported drugs, 29.4 million packages are of domestic production, and 28.5 million packages of medicines are currently in circulation.
Labeling allows you to ensure full transparency of the drug market and track the full life cycle of each package of the drug from the production stage to the end user. This will reduce the share of the shadow market, build a patient-oriented drug supply system with a guarantee of safety and quality, excluding the turnover of counterfeit products.
In addition, the labeling system should affect the rational use and planning of the purchase of medicines, and lead to significant budget savings.
