Today, during the regular meeting of the Akimat of the Kostanay region, workers in the energy sector were awarded for their significant contribution to the development of the region. The awards were presented on behalf of the Head of State by the Akim of the region Kumar Aksakalov.
Awardees:
•Order of "Kurmet":
Valery Konstantinovich Khokhlachev - Head of the 220 kV "Zarechnaya" electrical substation, Mezhregionenergotransit LLP.
•Order of "Enbek Danky" of the 3rd degree:
Igor Petrovich Romanyuk - Power Engineer of JSC "Sokolovsko-Sarbai Mining and Processing Production Association".
Sultanbek Bauyrzhan Khamitbekuly - Head of the Shop of the State Enterprise "Arkalyk Thermal Power Company".
•Medal "Eren enbegi ushin":
Raisov Nurlan Kurmangalievich - electric gas welder of the State Enterprise "Arkalyk Thermal Power Company".

Digitalization of rural areas
One of the key issues was the development of digital infrastructure in the region. The head of the region Kumar Aksakalov emphasized that providing access to high-quality Internet is a strategically important task aimed at eliminating the digital divide between the city and the village.
Main achievements and plans:
•In 2024, the construction of antennas in 15 rural settlements was completed.
•In January-February 2025, another 29 villages will receive access to the Internet, which will provide communication to 15 thousand people.
•In 2025, antenna structures will be built in 52 villages with a population of 5 thousand people.
The development of digital infrastructure is important for the region:
•Schoolchildren and students will have access to online education.
•Rural residents will be able to use telemedicine.
•Farmers will be able to automate farms, which will increase productivity.
•Access to government services and financial services will be simplified.
“Our goal is to cover all rural areas of the region with high-quality Internet, which will contribute to improving the quality of life and developing the economy,” the akim of the region noted.
Epidemiological situation: disease prevention
The epidemiological situation was also analyzed during the meeting. To date, such diseases as diphtheria, anthrax, rubella, mumps have not been registered in the region. The measles situation has stabilized.
However, an increase in whooping cough, viral hepatitis and acute respiratory viral infections has been recorded, mainly among unvaccinated citizens. In this regard, the following tasks have been set:
•Strengthen vaccination against influenza and human papillomavirus.
•Intensify information and outreach work among the population.
Fight against brucellosis:
Since the main source of the disease is infected farm animals, it was instructed to:
•Conduct sanitary cleaning of the territories of populated areas.
•Strengthen disinfection of farms and private households.
Drinking water quality
Special attention is paid to monitoring the quality of drinking water. Compared to last year, there has been an improvement:
•Discrepancies in microbiological indicators decreased by 0.4%.
•Discrepancies in water from wells and boreholes - by 2.6%.
Results of the meeting:
The epidemiological situation in the region remains stable. Thanks to active prevention and the introduction of modern technologies, the region continues to develop. The Akimat of Kostanay region will continue to work to improve living conditions, access to high-quality Internet and healthcare.
