The Abai Regional Crisis Center has become a real support for women and children who have experienced violence. During the year, 154 families found help here, 46 investigative measures were carried out. The center provides a full range of support, from safe shelter to qualified psychological assistance.
"Our goal is to protect the victims and prevent repeated tragedies," emphasizes Police Colonel Yeldos Zakimov.
Effective cooperation between the police and the crisis center, which began a year ago, not only saves lives, but also strengthens confidence that violence has no place in society.
During the year, 79 cases of domestic violence, 2015 offenses against women and 117 criminal cases against teenagers were identified in the Abai region. 2,720 protective orders were issued, 316 violators were brought to justice.
