KAZAKHSTAN AND CHINA: STRENGTHENING COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE
Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Talgat Yeshenkulov met with the Mayor of Fangcheng, China, Qiu Minghong, on the development of cooperation in the field of higher education and science between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the People's Republic of China. This meeting is aimed at strengthening the long-term partnership between the two countries in the field of education.
During the meeting, the Kazakh side noted the prerequisites for the development of bilateral cooperation. Currently, 241 agreements have been concluded with Chinese universities, and numerous projects in the field of education and scientific research are being implemented.
The main issues discussed were the expansion of student exchange programs between China and Kazakhstan, the implementation of additional research projects, the organization of a change of teachers and researchers, the development and launch of new joint educational programs, and the consideration of opportunities to open branches of Chinese universities in Kazakhstan.
The meeting participants noted the need to continue joint activities to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries and achieve common success in the field of education and science.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to organize international educational and scientific forums, as well as to promote issues of personnel training and exchange of experience.
