Today, on November 8, a solemn event dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Council of Mothers of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan was held in the House of Friendship of Astana.
The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the APK - Head of the APK Secretariat of the APK of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Azilkhanov, deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Vice Minister of Culture and Information Aizada Kurmanova, as well as representatives of government agencies, public associations and members of the Council of Mothers of the APK.
In her welcoming speech, Aizada Kurmanova noted the importance of the role of mothers in the formation of patriotism, national spirit and preservation of family values, stressing that over 10 years of activity, the Council of Mothers has implemented many initiatives and made a significant contribution to the development of interethnic harmony and strengthening family traditions.
She also noted that more than 1,700 Mothers' Councils throughout the republic are actively engaged in their activities within the framework of state priorities, such as preserving gender equality, protecting women's rights, developing the institution of the family, as well as combating social problems such as drug addiction and violence.
Following the meeting, active members of the Council of Mothers were awarded for their contribution to the development of civil society and strengthening interethnic unity.
