The Ministers of Culture of Kazakhstan, Aida Balayeva, and Russia, Olga Lyubimova, signed a plan of joint events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The plan includes a variety of cultural events, including theater festivals, film screenings, conferences, exhibitions and round tables.
In addition, the Days of Culture of Kazakhstan in Russia will be held next year.
"The cultural events included in the plan are aimed at the eternal memory of the exploits of war veterans and home front workers. I am sure that joint initiatives will contribute to further strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties between our countries," said Aida Balayeva.
At the meeting, the parties also discussed and agreed on further cooperation in the field of cinematography and archives, as well as on conducting master classes and advanced training courses in such areas as museum business and theatrical art.
