Gani Temiraliuly, a leading engineer in the earthquake resistance sector of buildings and structures of Kazakh Research and Design Institute of Construction and Architecture JSC, participates in the training program "Joint creation of solutions to strengthen measures to reduce the risk of seismic disasters for critical buildings", organized by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The program takes place in Japan from October 20 to December 14, 2024.
The program included a reception of participants, during which they met with colleagues from different countries and experts, as well as discussed key issues of seismic resistance. In the welcoming speech, the main tasks of the upcoming training aimed at mastering modern technologies for calculating and analyzing the foundations of buildings were announced. The training will allow Ghani Temiraliuly and his colleagues to deepen their knowledge and implement advanced methods to improve the safety of construction sites.
The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) plays a leading role in supporting sustainable development and provides technical assistance and expertise in various fields, including disaster risk reduction. This experience is especially important for Kazakhstan, where seismically active areas require increased safety of critical buildings and structures.
It should be noted that KazNIISA JSC has been exchanging experience with the land of the Rising Sun and cooperating in the field of seismic safety for more than 20 years. Over the years, within the framework of the cooperation program, representatives of the institute have continued to undergo internships at seismological centers in Japan, which has significantly strengthened knowledge and practical skills in the field of seismic resistance.
