A New Year's tree was held in Taraz on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Akim of Zhambyl region Yerbol Karashukeyev took part in the festive Christmas tree "Kosh keldin, Zhana zhyl!" and congratulated the children on this wonderful holiday.
The New Year's round dance brought together 200 children, including orphans and children left without parental care, children from large and low-income families, and children with special educational needs.
The children were presented with New Year's gifts, greeting cards, sets of sweets, a certificate worth 120 thousand tenge on behalf of the President of the country.
The event features choreographic and theatrical performances featuring characters from popular cartoons.
An excursion is also organized for the participants of the New Year's tree. They visited the historical and ethnocultural complex "Kone-Taraz", the Sports Palace named after Zh.Ushkempirov's Taraz Arena, the table tennis and rhythmic gymnastics center, and also attended a New Year's theatrical performance at the regional drama theater.
