In accordance with Article 31 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Science and Technology Policy", in order to encourage scientists, researchers of scientific organizations and organizations of higher and (or) postgraduate education who have contributed to the development of science and technology, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter – the Ministry) announces a competition for the annual award "The best researcher."
Applications for participation in the competition are accepted through the Ministry's information system https://scicontest2024.iac.kz in electronic format within 20 calendar days from the date of publication of the announcement of the competition.
The scientific achievements of the applicant for the Award will be evaluated according to the following indicators:
1) the presence of an academic degree recognized in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
2) the presence of an academic title awarded by the authorized body;
3) management of scientific projects and programs in the chosen scientific field;
4) availability and quality of scientific results in the chosen scientific field (articles or reviews in peer-reviewed journals, domestic and foreign monographs, chapters in monographs, patents and others);
5) availability of articles in prestigious international peer-reviewed journals in the chosen scientific field in collaboration with leading foreign scientists;
6) teaching one or more disciplines in the OVPO over the past year;
7) training of personnel who have been awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or doctor in the profile;
8) confirmed results of scientific and scientific-technical activities for the introduction into production;
9) public work aimed at improving the quality, effectiveness and impact of scientific research.
