As part of the "ICAO Week in Kazakhstan", the
meeting between the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Karabayev and the Regional Director of the European and North Atlantic Bureau
ICAO (EUR/NAT) by Nicholas Rallo.

During the meeting, issues on further active participation in the joint work of Kazakhstan and ICAO were discussed,
to support initiatives aimed at the development and improvement of the global aviation system, as well as the holding of official ICAO events by the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Mr. Nicholas Rallo proposed to hold 2 ICAO regional seminars in the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2025 – on gender equality in the civil aviation industry and accident investigation.

At the same time, Nicholas Rallo positively noted the opening of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan to ICAO in May this year, which undoubtedly confirms the long-term intentions of Kazakhstan in the field of flight safety, aviation security, improvement of air traffic and development of aviation infrastructure.

The Head of the EUR/NAT Bureau of ICAO highly appreciated the significant successes of the country in terms of improving infrastructure and implementing civil aviation reforms and confirmed ICAO's support for the further development of the aviation industry.
