On November 11, 2024, auctions for renewable energy were held for all zones of the UES of the Republic of Kazakhstan (with the exception of R.Tentek) for the selection of projects for the construction of hydroelectric power plants with a total installed capacity of 200 MW.
9 companies were allowed to participate in the auction, and 10 price offers were submitted by the participants during the trading session. The declared total capacity from the auction participants amounted to 220.9 MW.
The maximum auction price during the auction for the selection of HPP projects in 2024 was 41.23 tenge/kWh (excluding VAT). The decrease in the price range of applications was from 41.23 to 37 tenge/kWh (excluding VAT).
In accordance with paragraph 55 of the Rules for the Organization and Conduct of Auctions, the volume of installed capacity selection has been increased from 200 to 220.9 MW.
According to the results of the auction, the following 10 companies were identified as winners:
Korinskaya HPP-2 LLP the installed capacity of the project is 18.5 MW, the auction price is 37 tg/kWh (without VAT);
Standard Hydropower LLP installed capacity of the project is 18.2 MW, auction price is 37.01 tg/kWh (without VAT);
ADM Energy LLP installed capacity of the project is 12 MW, auction price is 37.05 tenge/kWh (without VAT);
Eskeldinskaya HPP LLP installed capacity of the project is 23.2 MW, auction price is 37.3 tg/kWh (without VAT);
Kalzhyrgidro LLP installed capacity of the project is 19 MW, auction price is 37.35 tg/kWh (without VAT);
National Energy Company Zharyk Energo LLP" the installed capacity of the project is 10.5 MW, the auction price is 37.4 tg/kWh (without VAT);
Korinskaya HPP-2 LLP installed capacity of the project is 26 MW, auction price is 37.49 tg/kWh (without VAT);
BOROHUDZIR HPP LLP" installed capacity of the project 10.5 MW, auction price 37.8 tg/kWh (excluding VAT);
Baskan Irrigation LLP installed capacity of the project is 30 MW, auction price is 37.99 tenge/kWh (without VAT);
Consortium between KOKSU HYDRO LLP and Qamqor Energy LLP the installed capacity of the project is 53 MW, the auction price is 41.21 tenge/kWh (excluding VAT)
Representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, USAID and JSC KOREM participated as observers.
