Kazakhstan has signed contracts for $120 million at the Chinese International Import Exhibition in Shanghai

Kazakhstan has successfully completed its participation in the 7th China International Import Exhibition (CIIE) in Shanghai, signing contracts worth 120 million US dollars for the supply of meat and fat-and-oil products, dry camel milk, juices and marmalades. Last year, the amount of contracts signed at the exhibition amounted to more than 81 million US dollars.
The event, which took place from November 5 to 10, was an important step in strengthening Kazakhstan's trade and economic ties with China and other countries. Kazakhstan's participation was organized with the support of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan and JSC "CRTP QazTrade".
One of the key innovations was the opening of online sales of Kazakhstani products on the TikTok platform. In partnership with the Chinese company Jiangsu Soho Holding Group Co., Ltd, streaming was conducted, which allowed viewers from all over the world to get acquainted with the range of goods from Kazakhstan and purchase them in real time. In two days of online sales, products worth 450 thousand yuan were sold.
Kazakhstani companies CEREBRA AI and Alaqan AI took first and second places in the Regional finals of the Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for Small and Medium-sized Businesses "Maker in China" 2024 in Central Asia, confirming the high level of Kazakhstan's technological potential.
Several strategically important agreements were signed within the framework of the exhibition. One of the key ones was the memorandum of cooperation between the Tourism Department of the Turkestan region and the Export Bahrain company from the Kingdom of Bahrain, aimed at developing tourist routes and increasing the flow of tourists to the Turkestan region. An agreement was also signed with Nomad Art company from Kyrgyzstan, which promotes cultural and tourist exchange between the two countries.
Kazakhstan was represented by two national stands: in the Commercial and National Pavilions. In the National Pavilion with an area of 132 sq. m. Products and services contributing to the promotion of Kazakhstani exports were presented. This year, the area of the commercial pavilion has been increased from 120 to 260 square meters. m; about 50 Kazakhstani producers took part in the Food and Agricultural Industry sector.
