At the 2025 Asian Games, the Kazakhstan men's ski team won a bronze medal in the 4x7.5 km relay. The national team included two representatives of the Kostanay region - Nail Bashmakov and Vladislav Kovalev.
The Kazakhstan skiers demonstrated a high level of training and a worthy fight, losing only to the strongest rivals from China and Japan. This is further proof that the domestic school of winter sports is successfully developing, and our athletes are capable of showing high results in the international arena.
The Akim of the Kostanay region congratulated his fellow countrymen on their well-deserved award:
"You showed excellent technique, endurance and team spirit. Your medal is a source of pride not only for the region, but for the whole country. I wish you new victories and great achievements!"
The Kostanay region is rightfully proud of its skiers, who have been among the strongest in the country for many years. The region continues to develop sports infrastructure and support talented athletes, creating conditions for training new champions.
