It is necessary to prepare for the safe passage of the flood in advance. In Temirtau and Aktau settlement, based on the lessons of the previous season, an engineering work plan was developed. Of the 13 events included in it, most have already been completed.
– After the passage of the spring flood, an analysis was made of what flood control measures are still needed. Work was carried out on flood-prone areas in summer and autumn. The emphasis is on improving the culvert system. This will prevent the threat of flooding," says Nurmukhamed Intuev, head of the Temirtau Teaching Staff.
For example, additional culverts have been installed at the Ortas and Zhanaaul stations.
A drainage channel was cleaned along Ogorodnaya Street, and the culvert system was reconstructed. In addition, work was carried out on the streets of Azerbaijan, Severnaya. The drainage channel has been cleaned and deepened in Aktau village.
Next year, it is planned to implement projects to divert meltwater and reconstruct the city's stormwater system. A PSD is currently being developed. In Aktau village, dowels with higher throughput capacity will be installed in the channel bed instead of culverts.
