TURKESTAN: CHEMICAL TREATMENT OF AGRICULTURAL LAND AGAINST PESTS WORKED OUT

According to the report of the Turkestan regional territorial inspection, 271.6 thousand hectares are planned to be processed in 2024, and 389.6 thousand hectares are actually processed. This was announced at a meeting chaired by Deputy akim of Turkestan region Nurbol Turashbekov. During the meeting, the plan of chemical treatment of agricultural land against pests was discussed in detail.
As a result of the autumn survey conducted on the territory of the region, chemical processing works are planned in 9 districts for 2025.
Head of the Regional Department of Agriculture Nurbek Badyrakov presented a list of joint measures to organize phytosanitary treatment and prevent damage to agricultural fields.
Deputy akim of the region dwelled on the issue of speeding up public procurement procedures in order to start treatment no later than the deadline.
- Chemical drugs must be approved on a scientific basis. I instruct you to pay special attention to the quality and shelf life of drugs. The technical requirements submitted for public procurement should ensure the Prevention of possible risks, - said Nurbol Turashbekov.
As a result of the meeting, the task was assigned to Re-study the indicators established by the Forecast Center for the foci of pests by akimats of districts and cities.
