On November 11, the second press tour within the framework of the project "National expedition of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan "The Road of Peace and Harmony" started in Ust-Kamenogorsk. The participants visited the House of Friendship, where they were presented with the project and told about its goals and objectives.
Then the expedition went to the first Friendship House of Kazakhstan, opened in 1992, where interethnic harmony has been strengthened since then and traditions and culture of peoples have been preserved. APK members shared their memories of the opening of the Friendship House and talked about the work of ethnic and cultural centers.
During the tour, the participants also visited the Ethnoaul, where they could see the traditional dwellings of different peoples who inhabited Eastern Kazakhstan in the late XIX — mid XX century. The next location was the Umit orphanage, where the pupils prepared a concert program.
In addition, a master class in archery was held for the participants.
It should be noted that the expedition will last until November 14 and will be dedicated to getting acquainted with the ethnocultural heritage of Ust-Kamenogorsk and Pavlodar.
