The traditional ball of young officers has already been held in the Karaganda region — an event that is becoming more and more vivid every year. 78 couples danced waltz and polonaise on the parquet floor at the same time.
The organizers, the Youth Resource Center of the region, tried to create a festive atmosphere of bygone years: the era of gallant cavaliers and sophisticated ladies in exquisite outfits came to life here.
This year, the ball was attended by officers of law enforcement agencies, cadets of the Karaganda Republican School named after twice Hero of the Soviet Union T. Begeldinov, students of the Karaganda Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after B. S. Beisenov, as well as cadets of "Zhas Sarbaz".
The competitions were held in several categories.
The winners and prize-winners were awarded with diplomas, cash certificates and gifts.
The Grand Prix was awarded to a family, and now a dancing couple – Anuar Salkeev, senior prosecutor of the Osakarovsky district, and Aisha Kuanysh, prosecutor of the Department for the Protection of public interests of the Prosecutor's office of the Alikhan Bokeikhan district of Karaganda. The winners shared that the idea to participate in the ball belongs to Aisha. And Anuar was happy to support his wife, because as a child he was fond of sports ballroom dancing.
– We really put a lot of effort into the preparation: we learned the polonaise and the waltz. The organizers and our management met us halfway so that we could find time for training. The recognition at this ball was a real surprise for us," says Anuar Salkeev.
In addition to the actual competitions in the ability to waltz, the audience was also waiting for a rich cultural program. Musical compositions performed by a symphony orchestra were played in the hall, and the folklore and choreographic ensemble "Akku" performed dance numbers.
The unique atmosphere was created by the drummers and the honor guard of the Karaganda Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The evening ended with a performance by Kazakh performer Altynbek Tashimbetov.
