The artists of the Gulder ensemble of the State Academic Concert Organization Kazakconcert named after Rosa Baglanova won prizes at the international festival-competition of choreographic art in Georgia.
The competition dedicated to choreographer George Balanchine was held from November 8-10 in Kutaisi.
This significant event brought together representatives of ballet schools from Kazakhstan, Latvia, Georgia and Estonia.
At the prestigious event, the honor of our country was defended by talented artists of the Gulder ensemble. They performed in the nominations "Folk Dance" and "Modern Choreography" with performances staged by domestic choreographers.
The artists of the Gulder ensemble showed all the beauty and depth of Kazakhstani choreographic art on the international stage, adequately representing Kazakhstan. The high level of their skills was noted by the jury members.
Akkanat Smagulova, Anel Zhumadildina, Rustem Amirbekov took the first three places. Alan Mukhtar took the second place.
The preparation for the competition took place under the guidance of the chief choreographer of the Gulder ensemble Anvara Sadykova, as well as teachers and choreographers Alila Alisheva, Gulnara Saitova, Almat Shamshiev, Assel Abakayeva, Amina Samarbaeva, Aidar Akhmadiev and Dana Kuanyshbekova. The stage costumes, emphasizing the flavor of the Kazakh people, were created by Asel Lukpanova and Natalia Protasova.
