On November 12, a dialogue conversation "Taking care of nature is an invaluable gift" on the topic "Environmental problems and solutions" took place in the walls of the Gabit Musrepov Library in Petropavlovsk. The event was held within the framework of the environmental program "Taza Kazakhstan" initiated by the Head of State, and brought together college students, volunteers, representatives of the Department of Ecology of the North Kazakhstan Region and the Youth Resource Center.
The dialogue was aimed at attracting the attention of young people to the problems of environmental protection, fostering responsibility for nature and supporting the sustainable development of Kazakhstan. The speakers were Igor Gokh, Chief Specialist of the Department of State Environmental Control of the Department of Ecology of the North Kazakhstan Region, and Nurkhan Zhanaim, lecturer at the Department of Ecology of the M. Kozybayev State University of Economics. They shared with the participants the latest data on the state of the environment in the region and possible measures that everyone can take to conserve natural resources.
"Everyone is responsible for the state of the ecosystem, especially in the era of climate change and increased pressures on natural resources. I also think it is necessary to involve young people in environmental initiatives that could contribute to changing society's attitude towards natural resources and their use," Igor Gokh noted.
Nurkhan Zhanaim spoke about the importance of environmental education, stressing that the formation of an environmental culture from an early age can play a key role in protecting the environment. As practical steps, he invited young people to actively participate in various environmental actions, volunteer projects and initiatives aimed at improving urban and natural areas.
The Taza Kazakhstan program aims not only to improve the environmental situation in the country, but also to form an environmentally conscious society ready for practical steps in solving environmental problems. An important part of this work is the educational aspect — such dialogue meetings as the last conversation become a platform for the exchange of knowledge and ideas, the development of responsibility and active participation of young people in environmental projects.
The event was a vivid example of how young people can become an important part of the environmental movement in Kazakhstan. The students participating in the conversation emphasized their readiness for new projects and initiatives aimed at nature conservation.
