Since 2023, experimental educational programs have been introduced in three colleges in the region. As part of this program, students in grades 10-11 of schools simultaneously master working professions. In the new academic year, 128 students were enrolled in this program. Of these, there are 58 in Aktobe Highway College, 40 in service college, and 30 in Wilsky Vocational College. To date, 199 students are trained in the specialties of a mechanic technician, seamstress, agricultural mechanic and cook.
Schools No. 1 and No. 39 of Aktobe city, as well as the Wheel Kazakh Secondary School, participate in the implementation of the program. Students are given the opportunity to learn a new profession and thereby become in demand in the labor market. This initiative is aimed at reducing the personnel shortage in the region and encouraging young people to work.
In January 2025, the first graduates will be awarded diplomas. Thus, graduates of schools are expected to have specialists who are ready for the labor market.
