Oshi: more than 81% of residents of Zhambyl region are insured

At the staff meeting chaired by akim of Zhambyl region Yerbol Karashukeev, the progress of increasing the coverage of the population with the system of compulsory social health insurance (hereinafter - OSMS) was considered.
Director of the regional branch of the NJSC "compulsory social health insurance fund" Gaini Aimaganbetova and acting head of the health department Yerik Musabayev made reports on the agenda.
1 million tenge in Zhambyl region It has a population of more than 223 thousand people. Of these, 81.6% (956,968 people) are covered by OSMS, and 17.6% (216,373 people) are uninsured. 4% of the population (49,808 people) are not registered in the Polyclinic.
As of October 29, 2024, the number of uninsured decreased from 259,584 to 216,373 people. That is, as a result of awareness-raising activities, this figure decreased by 43,211 people or 16.6%.
At the meeting, akims of districts with a high share of uninsured citizens reported and shared their suggestions.
In addition, deputy head of the Regional Department of state revenue Zhanat Zhumadilova, deputy head of the Department of migration service of the police department Zharas Satbergenov reported on the raised issue.
Yerbol Karashukeyev stressed that it is still necessary to increase the results of health insurance coverage of citizens and demanded to take appropriate measures within the framework of the law.
"We need concrete results, not empty words," the governor of the region instructed the responsible persons to develop concrete proposals to improve the efficiency of work within 2 weeks.
