The National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted the grand opening of an exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Artist of Kazakhstan Nagym-Bek Nurmukhammedov.
The exhibition, which includes about 50 works from the collections of the country's leading museums, consists of two thematic sections: "Landscapes of the native land" and "Labor and Honor: portraits of people of labor", which vividly demonstrate the artist's deep connection with his native land and its people. Nurmukhammedov's works, exhibited at international venues, are rightfully considered a symbol of Kazakhstani fine art.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by the artist's relatives, art historians and cultural figures, who shared their thoughts about his significant contribution to the development of Kazakh culture and art.
The exhibition will be open to visitors until December 8, 2024.
