The formation of a "green belt" around the city of Turkestan began in 2019 in accordance with the instructions of the head of state. As a result of the constant control of the Akim of the region, 28,335 hectares of land have been transferred to the category of the State Forest Fund, and 17,019 hectares of trees have been planted.
"Today, Deputy akim of the region Nurbol Turashbekov inspected the autumn planting of trees in the ""green belt""."
At the moment, the road in the direction of the airport is being replenished with new seedlings. Here, 252 hectares of land are fully connected to the drip irrigation system.
According to the head of the Regional Department of Natural Resources and environmental management Kairat Abdualiyev, mineral and organic fertilizers are used to increase soil fertility, creating conditions for the growth and development of trees.
Criticizing the slow work, Nurbol Turashbekov noted that " it is necessary to pay attention not only to the quantity and quality of seedlings, but also to their sowing. The depth, the location of the roots, everything should be under control. Get rid of the idea that a stuck tree will give you a bait. It is necessary to take into account the peculiarities of the weather and make efforts to increase the yield of trees," he said.
