The new passenger terminal of the Kyzylorda airport meets the standards of environmental friendliness and manufacturability. The project was implemented at the expense of private investments.

The following features of the new passenger terminal should be noted:
First. The terminal area has increased almost 3 times (from 2,720 to 7,500 square meters). It should be noted the uniqueness and modernity of the architectural style of the building, the roof of which resembles the wings of a bird. On the ground floor (5,700 m2) there are check-in areas, retail outlets and cafes, and on the second (1800 m2) there are waiting rooms with direct access to airplanes. There are also zones for transit passengers and a modern CIP hall, a Duty Free zone, cafes, retail outlets, prayer rooms, mother and child rooms, luggage storage rooms, a medical center and other social infrastructure facilities.
Second. This is the first regional terminal in the country that meets the international standards of eco-friendly EDGE buildings. Energy-saving double-glazed windows and natural materials such as granite for facade floors were used in the construction. The terminal building complies with IATA and ICAO standards and provides passengers with an Optimum comfort level.
The third. It is important to note the technological equipment of the terminal, which is equipped with two telescopic ladders of the German company ThyssenKrupp, a NUCTECH inspection system and an automated baggage handling system of the French company ALSTEF. Escalators and elevators from the Finnish manufacturer KONE and aluminum roofing structures from the German company BEMO are also installed.

Today, the new passenger terminal distinguishes Kyzylorda Airport among the country's regional airports as the most modern and technically equipped.
