Vice Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alibek Zhamauov made a working trip to the facilities of Kazakhstan's largest oil and gas field Kashagan.
During the visit, the delegation headed by the Vice Minister got acquainted in detail with the onshore and offshore production complex. Special attention was paid to the current level of oil and gas production, as well as the process of exporting lump sulfur from the Bolashak plant.
During the working meeting with the management of the consortium, topical issues related to the level of the Caspian Sea fall and prospects for further development of the field, including stages 2A and 2B, were discussed.
Recall that in October of this year, scheduled repair work on the replacement of the Slug catcher (technological equipment used to separate water, gas and solid particles from oil) was successfully completed at the Kashagan field. This important technological equipment plays a key role in the process of preparing oil for transportation.
Following the visit, Alibek Zhamauov stressed the importance of the Kashagan project for the economy of Kazakhstan and expressed confidence in the further successful development of the field.
