Today, the head of the transport department held a meeting with the population of the Turkestan region and a personal reception of citizens. During the meeting, Marat Karabayev shared brief information on the implementation of the issues raised at the meeting with the population last year.
Thus, for example, the railway connection in the direction "Turkestan-Saryagash" has been restored.
The reconstruction of the Shaulder-Turkestan highway of republican significance with a total length of 64 km continues. The work has been completed for 32 km. In addition, the relevant department has provided funds for the construction of bypass roads of the city of Turkestan (with a total length of 30 km) and the city of Saryagash (160 km). Work will begin next 2025, funds have been allocated, and competitive procedures are underway.
Also, in accordance with the proposal of the Minister, the salaries of employees of the state communal enterprise "Ontustik Zholdary" of the Department of passenger transport and highways of the Akimat of the Turkestan region have been increased. So, since January 1, 2024, wages have increased by 15%. Work to improve the working conditions of employees continues.
During the meeting with the population, residents of the region raised the issue of increasing the number of flights to Astana and Almaty, as well as to the Turkestan-Karaganda destinations, restoring the Turkestan-Samarkand international flight and extending the Turkestan-Shymkent suburban railway service to art.Lenger. The relevant department will promptly consider these proposals together with the competent state authorities and airlines and carry out the necessary work to launch the above-mentioned air and railway flights.
After the meeting with the population of the region, Marat Karabayev held a personal reception for citizens. The questions were about the repair of the Turkestan-Ashchysai highway with a length of 55 km and the repair of a local road in the rural district of Khankorgan.
All appeals have been taken under control, and relevant instructions have been given to the responsible employees of the Ministry.
