AN OPEN DAY FOR THE DETECTION OF DIABETES WILL BE HELD IN THE TURKESTAN REGION

The Endocrinological Center of the Turkestan Regional Clinical Hospital will hold an open Day on November 14. All citizens who came to the event can get expert advice by determining their blood sugar levels. This was announced at the briefing by the chief freelance endocrinologist for the Turkestan region, Galiya Batyrkhanova.
– November 14th is World Diabetes Day. Diabetes is a disease caused by an increase in the amount of sugar in the blood. According to statistics, about 500 thousand patients with diabetes mellitus are currently registered in the country. 30 thousand people get sick with diabetes every year. Early detection of diabetes is an opportunity to prevent its complications," the speaker said.
Also at the press conference, pediatric endocrinologist Arai Zhailaubaeva reported on the progress of work on combating diabetes in the region.
– Currently, according to official statistics, 37 thousand people are registered in the region. In order to prevent diseases, we regularly hold conferences to explain new approaches to the treatment of diabetes mellitus and medicines to all endocrinologists in the region," the speaker stressed.
