Today, an expanded meeting of the Central Council of the “Veterans’ Organization” RKB was held in Astana with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The event discussed the issue of joint implementation of the republican action plan “Great Victory: Tribute to Heroism, an Example for the Generation” to prepare for and celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Victory in 2025, adopted by the Government Resolution.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Vice Minister Aizada Kurmanova attended. She informed the participants about the ideological work being carried out in connection with the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory.
Every year, the Ministry, together with the veterans' organization, holds events aimed at strengthening the continuity of generations, respecting history, and increasing patriotic feelings and civic activity.
It should be noted that about 9 thousand organizations, covering more than 260 thousand young people, operate in the regions within the framework of military-patriotic education of the younger generation. Last year alone, more than 2.5 thousand events were held, in which more than 2 million children and young people participated.
