The international conference "SEED-2025" was held in Kokshetau, which brought together agronomists, experts and researchers from Kazakhstan, Europe and the near abroad.
Quality seeds are a key factor in ensuring high productivity. Last year, agricultural specialists of the Akmola region achieved significant achievements due to strict adherence to agronomic technologies, an increase in the area of sowing elite seeds, and the successful implementation of state support programs.
Seed breeding plays an important role in this process. The A.I. Baraev Scientific and Production Center for Grain Production is actively engaged in the development of new varieties of agricultural crops. The spring soft wheat variety "Taimas" can be noted as a clear result of the work of the center's scientists. Last year, this variety was distinguished by its adaptation to the climatic changes of Kazakhstan and innovative achievements in breeding, and gained great importance.
During the conference, scientists and specialists discussed the issues of improving seed quality, introducing modern breeding technologies, using innovative processing methods, and improving varieties aimed at increasing productivity. Information was also presented on promising new varieties of agricultural crops developed by foreign and domestic breeders.
