The Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation plans to organize advanced training courses this year to retrain about a thousand water management specialists.
In particular, the ministry has reached an agreement with the Chinese company Power China on conducting advanced training courses for Kazakhstani specialists in the PRC. In April, 30 people will go to China, followed by several groups of 25 people. The courses will be held every quarter. A total of 105 specialists will participate in it.
Let us recall that last year more than 500 water workers underwent advanced training courses at specialized centers. This is 12% more than the initial plan.
"Training and retraining of specialists is an important direction for the modernization of the water sector of our country. On the instructions of the Head of State, the National University of Water Resources and Irrigation was opened in the city of Taraz, where about 200 students study. Our ministry has created a sectoral council on professional qualifications that will develop professional standards for the water sector. On its basis, Kazakhstani higher education institutions will update their educational programs,"
