The Musical Young Spectator Theater of the Astana City Akimat hosted another performance in the drama genre called S.O.S., dedicated to the prevention of drug addiction and combating drug crime, the official website of the capital's Akimat reports.
The work of playwright Madina Omarova shows one of the most pressing issues in modern society - drug addiction and its consequences - through the tragedy of one family.
"Drug addiction is the biggest disease of today. That is why we called this social drama S.O.S. Thus, by sounding the alarm to the public, we will make our contribution to the prevention of drug addiction. After all, it is inherent in human psychology, like our main character, to be imitative and interested in a lot of money. Especially teenagers who have not yet learned to distinguish right from wrong are at a loss. Drug addiction and the drug business will never lead to anything good, only darkness awaits those who embark on this path. We wanted to convey this to the audience,” said the production director of the play, a cultural figure Aman Gumarov.
In the play, the main character Aibar is played by Bibol Baigarayev, Abzal Arapov, and the role of Aibarsha is played by Aruzhan Bagzat and Arelana Amangeldieva. The role of the mother is played by Mayra Omar and Akniet Zamzat, holders of the Order of "Kurmet". The role of the leader of the drug trafficking group is played by Kazbek Eskara.
It should be noted that the play was presented within the framework of the implementation of a comprehensive plan to combat drug crime in the capital and the campaign "Astana - a city without drugs" to prevent drug addiction. According to the audience, S.O.S. justified the trust and purpose entrusted to it. The performance was so popular with the young people that they came to see the performance for the second time.
