Year of Working Professions: New specialties in demand will be opened in colleges in Zhambyl region

The meeting, chaired by the regional governor, Erbol Karashukeyev, reviewed the action plan within the framework of the Year of Working Professions, announced by the Decree of the Head of State.
The action plan for holding the Year of Working Professions at the appropriate level in the region was approved, and included 123 different events in 6 areas. A special headquarters was also created to monitor the implementation of the plan.
At the meeting, the head of the education department, Rauan Sadyrkulov, announced that this year 1,360 jobs will be created and specialists will be attracted under 33 investment projects in the entrepreneurial direction, and 234 jobs will be created under 18 projects in the agricultural direction. It is also planned to hold more than 110 job fairs.
The Atlas of New Professions specifies the list of new, eliminated and transformed specialties in the 5 main industries needed by the region (agriculture, industry and mining, alternative energy, tourism, transport and logistics). Work will be carried out to open new specialties in colleges in line with demand.
It is planned to conduct work on the "Enbek.kz" portal to train students in the skills of searching for vacancies. It is expected that entrepreneurs will build a dormitory for college students with 120 places in 2025 and 100 places in 2026.
The "1C" certification center will soon begin operating on the basis of the Zhambyl Higher Innovative College.
The head of the board also reported that work is underway to provide preferential loans to "Aulieata Youth" workers within the framework of housing programs through "Otbasy Bank" JSC.
Yerbol Karashukeyev noted that residents and young people in remote settlements should not be left out of the events dedicated to the Year of Working Professions, and said that educational grants allocated by the state should be directed to supporting young people who are eager to master a profession. He instructed to work together with the district akims on these works.
Next, the head of the Department for Coordination of Employment and Social Programs, Yerkin Kelesov, reported that it is planned to provide 3,200 unemployed citizens in the region with free online training through the “Skills enbek” portal. Currently, 767 people are receiving education through this portal.
Kuralay Oskembekova, acting head of the Department of Information and Social Development, also made a report at the meeting.
At the end of the meeting, the regional akim assigned a number of tasks to the heads of the responsible sectors and instructed them to ensure the timely and high-quality implementation of the measures specified in the plan.
