Today, a Government meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov. The agenda included the development of the road sector and the introduction of digital technologies in the sector. The regional akim Nurlybek Nalibayev participated in the meeting via selector mode.
After the government meeting, the issues were widely discussed at the meeting chaired by the head of the region, and tasks were assigned to city and district akims and industry leaders.
“This year's goal is to increase the share of roads in good condition to 95 percent. Urgently repair the deficiencies identified on the roads repaired last year and ensure the full use of funds. Strictly monitor the quality of construction and repair work on roads and streets. "Maintain the timely completion of projects," said Nurlybek Mashbekuly.
It should be noted that 3,545 kilometers of local roads pass through the region, of which 1,024.5 kilometers are republican, 555 kilometers are regional, and 1,965.5 kilometers are district roads.
Last year, 44 billion 700 million tenge were allocated for the development of road infrastructure within the framework of state programs, and more than 300 kilometers of roads, village streets, and bridge crossings were repaired. This resulted in the share of roads in good and satisfactory condition exceeding 92 percent.
This year, 33 billion 500 million tenge were allocated from the budget for the development of local road infrastructure. Of this, 329 kilometers of roads will be repaired, bringing the figure to 95 percent.
