A seminar on project management issues and international indices in the areas supervised by the Ministry

On February 4 of this year, the Strategic Planning Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, held a seminar on project management issues and international indices in the areas supervised by the Ministry.
During the seminar, the participants discussed topical issues in the field of project management. Employees of the Strategic Planning Department shared practical recommendations and strategies for implementing project activities, emphasizing the importance of adhering to all the principles of project management.
In addition, the Ministry's ongoing work to increase the position of the Republic of Kazakhstan in international ratings such as the Global Innovation Index (GII) and the Electronic Government Development Index (EGDI) was presented.
Erlan Satybaldyuly Zholdybayev, Head of the Analysis and Project Work Department of the Strategic Planning Department of the Central Institute of Information and Communication Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan: “The level of digitalization in Kazakhstan is high and continues to grow, for example, in 2024 Kazakhstan ranked 24th among 193 countries monitored by the United Nations in terms of the level of e-government development, compared to 28th in 2022. The e-government development index measures the country's e-government capabilities in three important areas: online services, telecommunications, and human resources. It also considers how well the country uses information technologies to improve interaction with its citizens and accessibility,” he noted.
The participants also noted the importance of communicating international rating indicators to representatives of local executive bodies, and also discussed ideas for further digitization of the country.
Experts noted significant progress in the state's policy in the field of providing online services, noting their benefits for the country's people and businesses.
