During a meeting of Almaty Mayor Yerbolat Dossayev with residents of the Almaly district, a local resident asked to clear pedestrian areas of illegal construction of public catering establishments. In particular, he reported that a restaurant in the boulevard area at the intersection of Seifullin Avenue and Karasai Batyr Street has built a summer terrace.
The mayor of the city instructed to check the legality of this building and bring it into compliance.
Yerbolat Dossayev noted that the Almaty City Department of Entrepreneurship and Investments is conducting a mass dismantling of non-stationary trade facilities (STO) illegally installed on state-owned land in order to combat spontaneous trade and eliminate them.
In two days, 21 illegal facilities were dismantled.
According to the results of monitoring, 49 mass gathering places of spontaneous trade (located near large markets, parks and squares) were identified in the city, where more than 1.2 thousand traders independently place them.
Let us recall that in accordance with the Resolution of the Almaty City Akimat dated August 27, 2024 No. 3/469 “On the designation and approval of places for placement of non-stationary trade facilities in the territory of the city of Almaty”, 142 places for placement of 157 STOs were approved in the city.
