During a meeting with residents of the Almaly district, a local resident appealed to the mayor of Almaty, Yerbolat Dossayev, to improve the section of Panfilov Street from Abai Avenue to Shevchenko Street.
In turn, the mayor noted that this project would be implemented this year within the framework of the "Budget with People's Participation" program.
"This year, 45 projects will be implemented in the Almaly district within the framework of the "Participatory Budget" program. This project is also included in that list. According to the plan, the street will be improved in accordance with all standards. We will start the work this year and complete it by autumn," said Yerbolat Dossayev.
It should be noted that in 2024, the section of Panfilov Street from Kabanbai Batyr Street to Zhibek Zholy Street was improved. As part of the project, the road and small architectural objects were renovated, the green area was increased by 20%, and perennial shrubs were planted. Panfilov Street is one of the most visited places in the Almaly district, but the last renovation work was carried out in 2017.
Over the past three years, 938 projects have been implemented in Almaty within the framework of the "KGB", for which 39.1 billion tenge was allocated. By order of the city akim, 17.1 billion tenge was allocated for the "KGB" program in 2025.
